Hitler family of Ohio

I do not believe that the family is notable enough to warrant a separate article. The user who created the article reverted my proposed idea of deleting the article on the page with the reason, “The two news article sources in the article and some others and enough for a WP:GNG pass”. I do not believe that two news articles about a family means that the family needs an article. The family is briefly mentioned on the Hitler (name) article as being a family with the surname Hitler that is not related to Adolf Hitler. I'm pretty sure that this was created, and the family made it into a couple of local newspapers, because someone thought that the unfortunate naming coincidence was interesting or amusing. I don't find it so, but people differ. Phil Bridger (talk) 11:15, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - borderline notability, and not sure if it makes it over the bar. There is this, this, this brief mention, Jacob's obit (which I only include since it appeared in several papers, but it's so short, it wouldn't count for notability for the individual, then there's Gay's obit, which contrary to the info in the current article, he never changed his name, and never moved away. Then there is this about his estate, and Mabel's (Gay's wife) obit. Definitely not enough for any one of them to be individually notable, but thought I'd throw these out there to add to the discussion.Onel5969 ^{TT me} 21:55, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Comment A subject that's not obviously less notable (or, if it mattered, less interesting) than are the various "noble houses" of European republics that, however improbably, get solemnly written up for en:Wikipedia articles. Comment. The family is mentioned in the Circleville, Ohio article. There are streets named after them so they seem somewhat notable locally, particularly Nelson. On the surface, that's as far as it goes.
